Twenty-nine joints. Twenty-nine seats.

Seats open at launch. A seat puts your address on a joint and sets the torque that joint trains with in the next generation.

Who holds what.

The seat contract is not deployed yet, so no joint has a holder, nothing has been burned, and every joint trains at a torque budget of 1.00.

How a seat changes hands.

  1. Burn to claim. Send $GAIT into a joint. It goes to the token's burn function, or to the dead address if the token has none. Nobody holds it in escrow.
  2. Burn more to take it. The amount must be strictly larger than what the current holder burned. The previous holder gets nothing back.
  3. Set the torque. The holder picks a budget between 0.70 and 1.00 of the joint's force limit. The next generation trains with it.
  4. Claiming resets it. A new holder starts at 1.00; the old setting does not carry over.

Must be more than the current holder burned.
